How he became a Muslim?
Professor Roch Boulvin was a Christian, Belgian researcher,
physician and surgeon.
In 1955, he was invited to Mashhad by Astan Quds Razavi
charity and foundation to organize to transfer his surgical experience in
Imam_Reza hospital.
Becoming head of the surgical department, he developed
various new techniques of surgery.
Boulvin was influenced several times by dignity and
environment of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine and especially the people who got
cured based on their spiritual relationship with Imam Reza (AS).
He did an operation on Ayatollah Seyed Abdullah Milani, one
of the majors Shia’s religious authorities. While Ayatollah Milani was in the
recovery, Boulvin noticed that he is whispering and praying the Abu_Hamza
al-Thumali which made Boulvin decide to convert to Islam.
According to Boulvin: “ while the patient is in the
recovery, you can see his real personality and when I saw Ayatollah Milani at
that moment that he was profoundly praying to god, and when I compared him with
the pope recovery time who was singing a song, in that very moment I realized
that Islam is the real truth”.
He converted to Islam in his later life by Ayatollah Faqih
Sabzevari.
He died on August 5, 1969, and his body was buried in the
cemetery of the tomb of Khajeh Rabi' which is close to Mashhad.
