Imam Mahdi (PBUH)

Imam Mahdi (PBUH) (Arabic: امام مهدی‎) is the 12^th and the last Imam of Shia from the descendant of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and he is prophesied in all Abrahamic books (Turah, Bible, Quran). It is prophesied he will return along with the prophet Jesus (PBUH) to save the world and end all misers, wars, famine … and lead the people into the truth.

Birth in Samarra

Imam Mahdi (PBUH) was born in 869 A.D (15^th, Sha’ban, 255 A.H) in Samarra. When his great father, Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH) martyred by Abbasid caliph; he reached the exalted position of the Imamate. As it was mentioned by the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) before, His name (Muhammad) and his agnomen (Abu’l-Qasim) are the same as the Prophet’s. His father, the 11^th Shia Imam, was Imam Hassan Askari (PBUH), and his mother, the lady Narjis.

For various reasons, the twelfth Imam, Imam Mahdi (PBUH) from the first day of his life, did not appear publicly, and for about seventy years people

1-Imam Mahdi (AS) in Sihah Sitta[1]

Inevitability of Imam Mahdi’s uprising: It is unanimous by Shia and Sunni People that Imam Mahdi (AS) shall arrive and even non-Muslim people has promised the arrival of one savior at the last age to their followers.

These are some examples:

but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; … And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. … They shall not hurt nor destroy in my entire holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.[2]

Almost all religions believe in a savior who will one day come to bring justice and peace to the whole world.
The Shia Muslims have a clear picture of Imam Mahdi as the savior of humanity. He now lives among us, we don’t recognize him but his presence is vital.
It is very interesting that Jesus Christ will return to this world and will accompany Imam Mahdi in saving the world. The followers of Imam Mahdi will be from all nationalities and races.

The day will come  that  no child  will die of hunger while

 the world powers are awash in wealth . It will be a day of victory for the oppressed over the oppressors .

He ( Imam Mahdi ) will  come  with jesus christ and the

earth will be full of Godˈs justice .

Imam Mahdi (PBUH) will rise to establish justice and equality all over the world . Poverty will be dissolved , as the Imam “ shall distribute the wealth equitably among the inhabitants of the earth .” 1

The world will live in peace and harmony and be receptive to divine blessings . Imam Ali (AS) said : “ When our Qaim rises , the sky will send down its drops , the earth will grow its plants , enmity will come out from the servants’ hearts (in order that they live in peace and brotherly love), and savages and beasts will continue to live together peacefully.” Furthermore , the Imam (PBUH) will give the people some of his wisdom and teachings to facilitate progress in the world. Imam al-Baqir (PBUH) said , “ Our Qaim [the one who rises with Divine Authority] … will provide them [the people] with intellectual development and complete their patience and insights .” 3

“… Then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting.” [The Quarn, Surah 7, verse 71]

Imam Reza (PBUH) said: “How good is waiting for Imam Mahdi’s Reappearance. Haven’t you heard Allah the Sublime said: “Then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting.” So you must wait because the Reappearance comes after disappointment and your ancestors were more patient than you.”
