Hussain (PBUH) in the Bible

or

Hidden secrets of the Bible (documentary)

The holy books of Abrahamic faiths are God’s guidelines for nations. The divine call of these powerful words, has passed the limits of time and space and will forever last. In this article we will analyze parts of Torah and bible in which various predictions exist and the secrets of which will only be revealed through the passing of time or the detailed analyzation of words and phrases.

 Part 1

 John, 1:19- 23

19- And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

20- He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

21- And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

22- So they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

23- He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

From such accounts it’s clear that Jews have waited for 3 important figures: Jesus, Elija, and the prophet (who was promised). Meaning that in Biblethe coming of 3 people was predicted, but who are they? Clear descriptions of these people has certainly been mentioned for people to not be misguided and to leave no room for doubt and questions. Here, we will discuss the third figure “promised prophet” and find out who he is

 In Deuteronomy 32:21 we read:

They have made me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.”

In these verses there’s talk of the disobedience of Jews and God’s fury and the promise of another nation the choice of whom will angerJews.

In another verse we see the same case:

Matthew 21:43

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.

These phrases show that another nation will appear in the path ofprophethood. Aside from these two, some other verses also prove this claim.

 Deuteronomy 18:15- 19

15- “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen—

16- just as you desired of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’

17- And the LORD said to me, ‘They are right in what they have spoken.

18- I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

19- And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.

Which prophet is meant by the verses?

The prophet Joshua (pbuh) of Jews, or prophet Jesus (pbuh) of Christians?

The following verse of Deuteronomy has a very strong answer

 Deuteronomy 34:10

And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

In this verse, God says that this prophet is not appointed in the tribe of Israelites, even though prophetsJoshua (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh) are both from the Israelites. On the other hand, according toDeuteronomy 18:18, two important characteristics are predicted for the aforementioned prophet: That he’s is similar to Moses(pbuh), and that he will be chosen from amongst brothers ofIsraelites.

 Deuteronomy 18:18

18- I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

Joshua (pbuh) however does not resemble Prophet Moses as he did not bring a new religion and faith. Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is also unlike Prophet Moses since he bears no resemblance to Prophet Moses in terms of bringing a new faith, his single life, being crucified, and his presence in the kingdom of God.

Now the second sentence: he will be appointed from amongst your brothers.

To decode this verse in chapter 16 of Genesis, we review the 15th verse.

 Genesis 16:15

And Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.

After Ismail, God blessed Abraham with Isaac and through the generations Isaac’s children were called the Israelites and Ismail’s children were called the Ismailites. Thus, the aforementioned prophet will not be from the Israelites but he’ll be “from amongst your brothers,” a prophet from the tribe of Ismail.

From all the mentioned verses, it can be deduced that both prophets Moses and Jesus (pbut) have given good tidings of the coming of a prophet, from amongst another nation who are the brothers of Jews, a prophet is a descendentof Ismail. It’s also said that this prophet resembles Moses (pbuh). But is there such a prophet?

Yes, the final prophet sent by God, who’s descended from Ismail and his life resembles of Moses (pbuh) is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Similar to Moses (pbuh), he was raised away from his mother for the fear of being assassinated. Similar to Moses (pbuh), he first heard the word of God in the mountains. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his followers were forced to leave their hometown as Moses (pbuh) and his followers had before them. Just like when the Nile River parted for Moses (pbuh), the moon was parted as a miracles of prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Part 2

Now we review Genesis 17:18, in which Abraham (pbuh) pray for his son, Ismail in this words:

 Genesis 17:18

And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”

God answer him in Genesis 17:20

 Genesis 17:20

As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He shall father twelve princes, and I will make him into a great nation.

This time we investigate the issue of 12 Princess. In the Hebrew version instead of the word “prince”, it is “נשיאם“; In Syriac version it is “ܪܘܪܒܢܝܢ“; and in Aramaic it is “רברבין“.

“נשיאם“(pronunciation: nasi’eem) is the plural form of “נשיא“(pronunciation: nasi) that means: leader, chief, Imam, king. Those three words have the ame meaning.

In the above, we understood that the last prophet is descended from Ismail and here, 12 leaders descending from Ismail have been mentioned. Is there a connection between the two?

In the holy Quran God promises prophet Muhammad “increasing good”(108:1). It also talks about LadyFatimah(pbuh), the only child of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh). Her husband, Ali(pbuh), was chosen by God as his first successor and leader(to know more about his succision, go to Imamate & Saqifah), and after him his sons Hassan (pbuh) and Hussain(pbuh). Then 9 other descendants of Imam Hussain (pbuh) were chosen as a leader by God, the 12th of them, called Mahdi, will be hidden from sights just like Jesus (pbuh), so that they both return at the end of the world and guide the people of the world from darkness to light.

Thus the 12 Imams descended from Isamil are the same 12 Imams who were designated to guide people after the prophet in worldly matters and those of religion; the husband and children descending from Lady Fatima (Prophet Muhammad’s daughter), the 12th of whom will return along with Jesus (pbuh)to guide people.

Part 3

It’s said in various accounts that when Imam/leader Mahdi returns, he introduces himself to the world with the name of his great grandfather, Hussain (pbuh). But do the people of the world know Hussain? Has he been mentioned in the holy books so that Christians also know who he is?

Let’s take a look at the following verse:

 Matthew 24:30

Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Who is this person for whom all nations mourn? Has he been mentioned in another verse of Bible as well?

Revelation 5:9

And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

In the ancient Greek version of this verse, the phrase “you were slain” is ἐσφάγης,(esphagēs), which means to be killed in a gruesome manner with the head cut off.

The phrase tells us that the slain person, has given his life, in order to attain God’s satisfaction.

Christians think the verse is in reference to Prophet Jesus (pbuh), which is untrue because of the following reasons.

First, according to Christians, Jesus (pbuh) was crucified, not slain.

Second, according to the verses of holy bible, Matthew 10:5 to 10:7 and 15:22 to 15:26,  the mission of Jesus (pbuh) was to save only the Israelites; however, this phrase is referring to saving people of all nations.

Has any source directly mentioned this person?

 Matthew 3:11

“I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who will come after me is stronger than me, he who his sandals I am not worthy to remove. He will baptize you by the Holy Spirit and fire.

In the English version, the one who’s been mentioned by prophet John the Baptist (pbuh) is translated to “stronger” but has prophet John the Baptist (pbuh) said that himself?

What is clear is that John the Baptist (pbuh) spoke in Aramaic, and the main bible is written in this language. We will thus check the Aramaic version of this verse and discuss the above phrase further.

Table of Aramaic Letters

According to the above table, this verse is read in the following manner:

Ana mo’ammed ana lakon bemia letibota hova din debteri a’ta Hussain hova menni hova delashova ana masnohi lemash’ghal hova mo’ammed lakon be rooha deghodsha va be noora

Pay attention to the highlighted word. The Aramaic equivalent of it in Arabic will be transcribed in the following form:

ܚ = ح        ܤ = س          ܝ = ی     ܢ= ن      ⇐       ܚܤܝܢ= حسین

“Hussain” is the exact word seen in the Aramaic bible of Matthew about whom prophet John the Baptist (pbuh) had said following: he will come after me is Hussain and he’s better than me and he is in such a higher level that I’m not deserving of even moving his shoes. He will be baptized with the Holy Spirit and light.

Therefore according to the predictions of the biblea prophet will come from the Israelites from whom 12 leaders/Imams will descend, one of whom will be slain in the path of God and will save all nations by Interceding in front of God, and there comes a time, tribes will mourn for him. Is there such a person in the descendants of prophet Ismail?

Yes, only one person matches such description. Hussain (pbuh), a son of Lady Fatimah (pbuh), daughter of the Prophet who ismentioned in Bible.Hussain (pbuh) is the third of the 12 Shia Muslim leaders (Twelve princes) who was slain by the Euphrates river; the one who was slain like John the Baptist, alongside his companions. Every year many Muslims, Christians, and members of other faiths go to Karbala, Iraq, where he was killed and buried, to mourn for him.

 Matthew 24:30

…….and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn……..

The same person who has been mentioned in all holy books and who will save the people all nations by Interceding. Every year, on the day of Arba’een (the 40th day after his martyrdom) members of various faiths go to Karbala, walking some 80 Kilometers to his shrine, and mourning his loss.

This gathering is the greatest in the human history and it takes place every year, though mainstream media try their best to avoid covering it.

According to the verses of Quran, the last holy book which confirms the prophets and holy books before its revelation, Muhammad (pbuh) from the Israelites was chosen as prophet and God also chose 12 leaders descending from him to be the source of guidance for all the nations on earth.

However, after Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was poisoned and killed in his own house, a coup took place, preventing the 12 leaders from guiding the society. Initially, during the years, Lady Fatimah (pbuh), the prophet’s daughter, was killed in an attack to her house and then Ali (pbuh), the 1th leader was killed with a poisonous sword as he was praying in the mosque.

Then the 2th leader Hassan (pbuh), was poisoned by his wife, Ja’deh. Hussain (pbuh)brother of Imam Hassan (pbuh) was the 3th Imam who was slain in Karbala. His son Sajjad (pbuh) and his grandson Baqir (pbuh), 4th and 5th leader were poisoned.

6th Imam/leader was Sadiq (pbuh) who was the source of science and knowledge like his father. Many scientists, physicians, mathematician who lived in 800AC were his students, but he was killed by poison too.

His son was Kadhim (pbuh) as the 7th leader. But before his martyrdom, he was imprisoned in dungeon for 14 years, and finally poisoned him.

The 8th leader/Imam, Ridha (pbuh), was first banished to Khorasan, then poisoned and killed. His son, the 9th leader, was named Javaad (pbuh) who was imprisoned without giving water, then given poison instead of water. Then Hadi (pbuh), the 10th leader, was first banished to a military zone and kept under surveillance and finally poisoned and killed. Hassan Askari (pbuh), the 11th Imam, was also kept under surveillance and killed with poison. But his son,Mahdi (pbuh) the 12th and last leader, is alive and hidden from sight like Prophet Jesus (pbuh), and will return on the promised day to save the earth from the corruption and the injustice of the oppressors.

The followers of this 12 leaders, are called Shia who are a minority (around 300 million people). Following in the path of these 12 Imams and leaders, Shia’s oppose injustice everywhere and have always strived to support the oppressed, even if the oppressed is not from the same faith or religion. Currently, it’s the Shia who fight the extremistSunnis such as ISIS and the Takfirist. Their goal is helping the oppressed and not expansion and domination.

The Shia example for fighting oppression, is the third Imam, Imam Hussain (pbuh), who’s also been the role model for members of other faiths such as Ghandi (the leader of the Indian revolution). The third leader, Imam Hussain (pbuh) whopeople of all faiths and religions seek his help by going on a pilgrimage to drown in the sea of his mercy even over 1000 years of his martyrdom, in Arba’een.

Dedicated to all open minded people who are in search of truth.
