Claudia Borgia is an Italian Christian photographer who resides in Rome.
In 2013, after travelling to Iraq, despite the hardness of the trip, she stated her idea about the largest annual gathering of Arbaeen:
"I am proud to be part of spreading the message of peacefulness of Arbaeen to the world.
The path of Arbaeen is the path of truth. I came to see, with my eyes, the women who are really choosing to struggle with such a difficult journey similar to lady Zaynab bint Ali (SA).
I wanted to simply narrate a significant section of religious history which I had just a little information about.
My goal was to understand and explain this story far from any bias and prejudgment.
The spiritual pilgrimage of Arbaeen is a holy event that Imam_Hussein (AS) has invited all of his followers to attend.
I did not get a chance to go to this journey in 2012.
But the following year, the situation was as such that I believe Imam Hussein (AS) had invited me similar to many others to be a pilgrim of Arbaeen".
She also considered herself as a messenger of Arbaeen and she is interested in attending this gathering one more time.
After returning to Italy, she held a public exhibition of 35 fine select pictures in the building of the Rome photographers association.
