Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) loneliness

Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) loneliness

Imam Musa al-Kadhim (PBUH) said: “He is in exile, alone and absent from his family and is the avenger of his father.”

Kamal- al-Din, Chapter 34, Hadith 4

Allameh Seyed Mohammad Taqi Mousavi Isfahani:

Be aware that “exile” has two meanings:

1-Being away from one’s family, home and town.

2-And having few friends.

And Imam Mahdi (PBUH) is in exile in both senses.

Therefore, O believers, help him, O believers, help him.

Waiting for Imam Mahdi

The dignity of the night of 15th of Shaban

The dignity of the night of 15th of Shaban

🔆 Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: “No baby is born on the same night when our Qa’im (Imam Mahdi) (PBUH) was born, unless he/she will be a true believer. If he/she is born in the non-Muslim countries, God will guide him/her towards faith for the sake of of Imam Mahdi’s blessing (PBUH).”

 (Tozih al-Maqased, Sheikh Baha’i, page 532 )

🔹 According to some narrations, the night of 15th of Shaban is the same Qadr night in which the aliment and lifespan are ordained. Some narrations say that the 15th of Shaban is the Imams’ night and the Qadr night belongs to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

🔺 One of the dignities of this night is that it is one of those special nights to salute Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) shrine as hundred thousand prophets make a pilgrimage to Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) shrine on this night. The special prayer of this night is two-rak’at prayer that in each rak’at, you should recite sura Al-Fatiha once and then recite 100 times sura Al-Ikhlas.

313 companions in the Quran

313 companions in the Quran

“So race in goodness and wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together”

Imam Baqir (PBUH) interprets this verse in this way: “Allah, without any prior appointment, will gather Mahdi’s 313 companions, whose number equals the companions of the Battle of Badr, around him in Mecca, like the pieces of cloud in autumn. O Jabir, this is what Allah means by wherever you are, He will gather all of you together.”

Waiting for Imam Mahdi

The last reason for the necessity of knowing and getting familiarized with Imam Mahdi (PBUH):

The last reason for the necessity of knowing and getting familiarized with Imam Mahdi (PBUH):

11- “It is an introduction for doing one’s duties and tasks”

Imam Baqir (PBUH) said:

“Anyone who obtains the “knowledge”, will be guided towards “action” through that; and anyone who does not possess the “knowledge” will have no “action”.”

Mizan Alhekmah, vol.6 p.131

Conclusion: Getting familiarized with the Imam of each era (the Imam in the current era) is the operating engine of “actions” (performing one’s tasks and duties) and it is also the required necessity to the “waiting” (for Imam).

As previously mentioned, knowing the Imam of the current era (Imam Mahdi) has two dimensions: 1- Personal 2- Characteristics and attributes and...

Therefore, hereafter we will deal with the "personal" recognition of Imam Mahdi (PBUH)

Waiting for Imam Mahdi

The pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (PBUH)

The pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (PBUH)

The pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (PBUH) is one of the duties of the awaiting people during the occultation because it is a kind of devotion to Imam Mahdi and goodness toward him and other Imams, and by doing pilgrimage, joy and pleasure fills Imam’s heart and he prays for the pilgrims of Imam

Hussein’s shrine as his ancestors did from down to dust.

In the authentic book of "Kamil al- Ziyarat", Imam Sadiq says:

1-“The one who grants alms for the sake of Imam Hussein, any penny will be counted as thousands and for him/her and he/she will gain the consent of God, Prophet Muhammad and Imams.

2-The pilgrimage of Imam Hussein’s shrine is the most admirable deed for God.”

3-Imam Sadiq says in his prayers: “Oh God, grant me and my brothers and the pilgrims of my father Imam Hussein your pardon, whom spent out their properties and wasted away their bodies…hence bestow on

them your heaven, and protect them from any kind of rebellious and malevolent creatures and devils of jinn and men….”

And these are the reasons for making Imam Mahdi and other Imams happy due to this honorable deed.

Bloodbath and massacre or understanding and culture

Bloodbath and massacre or understanding and culture

How can the Esteemed Imam Mahdi (PBUH) fill the world with justice and equity? By killing? Now that the world population is seven billion, will six billion people become good humans if the other one billion get killed? It is just the beginning of a bloodbath. And if out of this seven billion, four billion get killed, will the remaining three billion become good ones? Never! How Imam Mahdi (PBUH) is going to succeed?

By force? By killing? Or by justice and acculturation? The first miracle is that he will make people rational, then the sane society, will become an honest and a justice-loving society.

Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi-Amoli’s speech, point 842 from the book “1001 points about Imam Mahdi (PBUH)”

Waiting for Imam Mahdi

The ninth and tenth reasons for the necessity of knowing and getting familiarized with Imam Mahdi (PBUH):

The ninth and tenth reasons for the necessity of knowing and getting familiarized with Imam Mahdi (PBUH):

“It rises one’s rank to the level of those who fight alongside Imam Mahdi (PBUH)”

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: “Anyone who gets to know his Imam then dies before the Imam’s uprising, is like someone who is sitting in the Imam’s army; and no, he is like the one who is sitting under his banner.”

“We need it very much at the moment of dying”

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) said: “Indeed, the earth (this world) will not be reformed except by the presence of

an Imam; and anyone who does not (try to) know his Imam and he dies in that state, it would be a death

in ignorance. And the time during which you need this recognition more than ever is when you are at the moment of dying. And those who has earned this recognition while they were alive, at that time (at the moment of dying), having seen the facts of the universe and the life after death will say: I had a good religion and manner.”

The real repentance (from the depth of heart)

The real repentance (from the depth of heart)

One of the most important tasks of the Shiites toward their Imam is to do real repentance. One of the main reasons for the occultation of Imam Mahdi, is the sins people commit.

In his letter to Sheikh al-Mufid, Imam Mahdi considers the sins as the main reason of his occultation and he says:

“So the only thing that keeps us hidden for them is their unpleasant and bad deeds that are revealed to us and we do not like them and don’t expect from them.”

Mekyal Al Makarem Vol.2

Providing the food for Imam Mahdi’s army

Providing the food for Imam Mahdi’s army

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) quotes from Imam Baqir (PBUH):

“When Mahdi comes and rises, he starts from Mecca, then moves to Kufa. Before setting out with his army and companions, his harbinger calls every one that: no one is allowed to carry food and water.”

Then Imam commands them to pick the stone belonging to Prophet Moses which equals the load on a camel and carry it along with the forces. To every house they get, the water flows from the stone and every hungry man gets saturated when he drinks it and every thirsty man gets satiated when he drinks it, and he will need no food nor water. This food is for all members of the Imam Mahdi’s army until they enter Najaf and Kufa.
