Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) titles
Imam Mahdi’s well-known titles are “Mahdi”, “Qa’im”, the “Awaited”, the
“Proof”, the “Virtuous successor”, “What is left you by Allah”, the
“Victorious”, the “master of the affair”, “the guardian of the Age”, the
“master of the time”, that the most reputed of them is “Mahdi”.(1)
Each of these titles has an explanation. For example: he is known as
“Mahdi” because he guides to Allah; he is known as “Qa’im” because he
rises rightfully; he is known as the “Awaited” because the believers are
awaiting him;(2) (he is known as the “Proof” because he is the Proof of
Allah over the people) It is written on the gem of his ring: “I’m the
Proof of Allah and His special.” )
